Whether you already know exactly what you would like to have made or you are looking for some ideas as a starting point, Tim’s many years of experience will guide you smoothly through the commissioning process.
You are welcome to start the ball rolling in any way you wish – by contacting us by post or email, or by ringing to let us know what you have in mind.
A home visit may be appropriate, depending upon what sort of furniture you are considering.
Tim he will be delighted to create designs specifically for you & once he knows what sort of pieces you may wish to commission he will first prepare one or two preliminary drawings – there is no charge for that service or for his subsequent quotation.
Once you have had time to consider those initial ideas & decided on the main features of the design then Tim will be able to offer an estimate or quotation, as well as an approximate indication of when he would expect to have your furniture ready.
Please bear in mind that furniture making in the traditional way is an art, not a science & working with wood, by hand, is very different to feeding a machine or programming a computer & pushing a button – this is why your piece of furniture will be unique & worth waiting for!
From start to finish Tim will be happy to answer any queries that you may have concerning your commission & when you are ready to proceed we request a minimum deposit of 35% of the price in confirmation of placement of your order, with the balance of payment becoming due on completion of making.
Whatever the scale of your project, Tim will be delighted to create something unique for you – a piece which will compliment its surroundings & serve its purpose beautifully.
